Web Design and User Flow
Re-Designing a Gym’s Website and User Flow
Seamless digital experiences and customer journeys are critical for gyms to attract new customers and drive membership growth.
I analysed the website user flow and found that UFC GYM’s website was outdated and lacked user-friendly functionality. This project focuses on developing a website prototype informed by a comprehensive competitor analysis.
Role
Marketer and Designer
Timeline
2-3 weeks
Tools
Canva
The Problem
This UFC GYM location relies on the broader brand website and lacks a dedicated digital presence for the local branch. An audit and analysis of the current site revealed several key insights:
Outdated visual design
Poor navigation and user experience
Unclear site structure and information hierarchy
Limited access to essential information and up-to-date content
Absence of clear calls-to-action and defined next step for users

Competitor Analysis
A competitor analysis was conducted to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of similar businesses' websites, including F45, Coogee Diggers, Anytime Fitness, and The Bunker.
The insights gained informed the structural and visual direction of the new website, highlighting effective design patterns, layouts, and opportunities to introduce new pages such as events, mobile app, and blog.
Prototype
A website prototype was created using Canva. Future recommendations for the redesign include:
Engaging a web developer to build and implement the new site
Reviewing and refining user flows to ensure it guides users to the right pages
Establishing ongoing maintenance processes to keep website updated and relevant
