Revolutionising Kin Fertility’s Digital Strategy

Kin Fertility is a digital health platform focused on women’s reproductive care, offering services across contraception, fertility, prenatal, and postpartum stages.

For this university project, I worked in a team to improve Kin Fertility’s digital strategy by enhancing the online experience for users with the introduction of a mobile app prototype.

Role

UX/UI Designer

Timeline

3-6 weeks

Tools

Canva, Figma

Research

This project was built upon from a previous team member’s report, as required by the brief, where the team and I collaborated to consolidate the research into two diagrams.

The customer persona was created to define the user persona and target audience ‘Daniella’.

To further identify the persona’s needs and pain points, an empathy map was developed.

The Problem

The insights were then leveraged to create a strong problem statement.

Insights and Opportunities

To understand the user’s experience with Kin Fertility, a customer journey map was formed to outline her interactions with the pill subscription service.

Each stage of the customer journey was explored in detail, identifying the key stages and opportunities in:

  • Stage 1: Discovering Services

  • Stage 3: Pill Questionnaire

  • Stage 5: Aftercare

Solution

A mobile app prototype was designed to address Daniella’s issues of educational needs, time constraints and uncertainty, as well as improve the overall user experience in purchasing Kin Fertility’s pill subscription service.
